Reflection (This is what it means to me as a teacher moving forward):
Every teacher in BC should be familiar with the document titled “Professional Standards for BC Educators”. Teachers need to use this resource to guide their actions and behave as professionals. Teachers interact with students every day so it is necessary for teachers to act as role models for students to see and learn from. Teachers’ job is not only to deliver knowledge and answer questions from students but also to teach students the correct outlook on life and world view and help them develop their good habits and high qualities. Most importantly, teachers should achieve inclusion and equity in their classrooms for every student feel a sense of belonging in their learning community.
